What is rainbow frogs?

Rainbow frogs (Phrynomantis bifasciatus) are a species of small, brightly colored African frogs. They are endemic to the East African countries of Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.

Rainbow frogs typically grow up to 3 inches in length and have a unique coloration pattern. They have a vibrant green or yellowish-green body with two dark stripes running from their face to their back legs.

Rainbow frogs are a relatively hardy species and are commonly kept as pets. They require a warm and humid environment with plenty of hiding spots and access to fresh water.

In the wild, these frogs feed on a variety of insects and small invertebrates. They are also known for their loud, distinctive calls that can be heard at night.

Despite their bright colors, rainbow frogs are often preyed upon by larger animals such as birds and snakes. However, their skin contains toxic secretions that can deter predators, making them less appetizing.
